Why You Need a Ceiling Motion Sensor

I wanted to talk to you about why you should have a ceiling motion sensor in your home. This isn't something that is completely unproductive, it's something that can be quite useful. The best place to put this is in your bathroom and you can rig it up to the lights and or fan. Depending on the type of room you have a bathroom in, it could be bright or dark. Obviously if you had a darker type of bathroom you could set up an sensor to detect when someone comes in. The light flicks on and it will shut off on it's own a little later.

I like the idea of hooking such a sensor up to the bathroom fan. The reason that I like this is that it always keeps the bathroom smelling fresh. Obviously people go in there and can stink up the entire room. A lot of people forget to turn on the fan or are just completely don't even turn it on at all. Keeping things smelling good is a very important thing to do for your home. It is a huge advantage especially if you're having guests over or something like that.

The other benefit that you're going to derive from this is energy efficiency. Obviously if you turn on the bathroom fan to allow things to clear up, it's going to take a few minutes to do. Most people aren't going to hang around the bathroom and wait. This means you could leave the fan on for hours and not really realize it. You're just burning up a lot of extra electricity when it is completely unnecessary. The reason that a ceiling motion sensor will help is that it will turn on automatically and stay on for a designated period of time. At this point it will shut off, so you're always using the least amount of power.

It should be pretty apparent that this is a good choice for saving power because so many businesses do it. Typically this would be installed in a mall, but mall bathrooms are really over used, so you might not be aware of it. If someone isn't using the bathroom than it is really just a waste to have everything lit up. It's much more cost efficient to have things turn on when a sensor is triggered. This is something that can save malls a lot of money over a period of a year and you can save that money too.
